Edwardian Ruffles

In the early part of the Edwardian era, dresses had many layers of ruffles. By 1910, frocks were becoming more simply tailored, but the hats were huge and many were completely covered with ruffles. This bracelet is reminiscent of that era, and ruffles at a lady's wrist are a very feminine and romantic touch. Herringbone stitch and peyote are combined using peanut beads and 11/0 seed beads. A dome of beadwoven 11/0 seed beads, embellished with peanut beads, becomes a focal point, while hiding a strong 8mm magnetic clasp.
